Bookbyte never received the textbooks I sold. What happened? 

Did you use one of their prepaid labels? If not, they cannot track the package. It is possible, then, that the book was sent to the wrong location or is still being held at a location post office.If they never received your textbooks, please contact USPS to locate the package. Unfortunately, they cannot pay for books they do not receive.

Can I make a return at Bookbyte?

• Return any of the college textbooks purchased from them for any reason within 14 days of receiving them, and they will refund the purchase price of the books (minus any shipping fees and applicable taxes).

• Return any of the used or new college textbooks due to their error within 14 days of receiving them, and they will refund your purchase price, original shipping charges, and provide a prepaid label to return the textbook.

How much time do I have to send my books after I sell them? 

• Mail your package within 5 days of receiving your quote, otherwise they cannot guarantee the quoted price. Your order will be canceled if they do not receive it within 30 days of placing your order.

• If your order arrives after 30 days, you will be paid the current sell price, which may or may not be the same as originally quoted.

Do I pay to ship the textbooks I'm selling at Bookbyte? 

No. They'll provide you with a free shipping label after you complete the "sell textbooks" order. 

If the shipping label they supplied to you is blank (meaning it doesn't have a tracking number or it is missing an address field), please contact them via email or submit a ticket through their Portal and a representative will get back to you with the correct label. 

How should I package the textbooks? 

• Pack your textbooks tightly into a heavy-duty shipping container. To minimize damage to your packaging, they recommend laying the books flat, instead of standing them upright. Secure all openings with packing tape.

• If you need to fill empty space in the box to keep the textbook from banging around, they suggest bubble wrap instead of newspaper. (Newspaper can leave smudges on the book.) Do not use packing peanuts.

• Keep in mind that they don't automatically insure their packages. Take care to package your books properly and, if necessary, to insure the package with the post office.

• They cannot pay for books that are lost or damaged before they reach them. They recommend including a print-out of your order information as a packing slip with your order. 

When will I get paid? 

After you send your books, here's what happens:

• Transit. Transit times vary depending on the shipping option you choose. USPS takes 4-14 business days to reach their warehouse.

• Processing. After the book is delivered, it takes them 3-5 business days for them to process the order.

• Payment. After they've processed your order, it usually takes them 1-2 business days to issue the payment.
