How long does the refund process take?
Your refund request for the remaining amount after deducting the necessary cancellation fees will be processed within 20 calendar days if the original payment was made by cash and bank transfer, or within 7 business days if the payment was made by other payment methods (including credit card) and PayPal. (calculated from the date of receipt of the refund request).
How do I cancel a booking and get a refund?
If you booked through Cathay Pacific - on their website, mobile app or through their contact center - the fastest way to organise a refund is to log in and manage your booking. Vantage Pass, Student Ticket and Senior Ticket holders can arrange refunds through their Contact Center.
If you purchased your tickets through a travel agent - please contact them directly to arrange your cancellation. They are unable to process refunds for these bookings.
If you booked a redemption ticket, please contact Asia Miles via their online form, the link will open in a new window, operated by an external agency that may not meet the same accessibility policies as Cathay Pacific, to cancel your booking and arrange a refund.
If your flight is no longer in operation, they will refund the unused value of your ticket.
How do I apply for Cathay Pacific Points?
If you are booking through Cathay Pacific - on their website, mobile app or through their call center - simply fill out their online form to apply for Cathay Pacific Points. Please note that you do not need to change or cancel your ticket in Manage Bookings, as they will process it for you.
If you purchased your ticket through a travel agency or third-party website, please contact them directly to sort out your Cathay Pacific Points.
If you booked a redemption, please call the Asia Miles Contact Center and the link will open in a new window, operated by an outside agency that may have a different accessibility policy than Cathay Pacific.
Once completed, you will be able to view your Cathay Pacific Points balance in Manage Bookings.
