What is the fair pricing policy?
Barnes & Noble College booksellers comply with local weights and measures requirements. If the price on the receipt is higher than the advertised or published price, please notify the bookseller and they will be happy to refund the difference.
How should I receive a refund?
A full refund will be made to your original payment method and original receipt. If there is no receipt, store credit will be issued at the current sale price. Cash back on merchandise credits or gift cards will not exceed $1. Gift cards, prepaid cards, calling cards, newspapers or magazines are non-refundable. Item must be in original condition.
How to pay for textbook rent?
Most payment methods currently accepted by bookstores can also be used for rentals. They do require your credit card to be on file, even if you pay with a different method. Why? In case you win the lottery and forget to return your book, they will charge you a fee (see Fees section).
How to return textbooks?
If the textbook is returned in the first week of class with the original receipt, they will issue a full refund to your original payment method.
Provide proof of course change and original receipt for full refund in original form of payment 30 days prior to the start of the course.
No refunds will be given for unpackaged loose-leaf books or shrink-wrapped books with incomplete packaging.
No refunds will be given after accessing digital content.
Textbooks must be in pristine condition.
No refunds or exchanges without original receipt.
