What happens to cheaters in DCUO?
They act on cheating accounts based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to: cheat detection tools, video evidence, player reports, and direct observation. Their decisions are not based on a report or a piece of evidence, but always try to get things done. It is critical not to run software that modifies the DCUO client in any way. Do not modify any game files or attempt to modify them in memory. The same rules apply to the data that DCUO uses for the game. If you do, you won't be able to tell the difference from the various cheats that work the same way. As a result of this, you may be banned. Some applications can modify the Windows or DirectX environment without changing the client.
What types of actions might they take with my account in DCUO?
They take community standards very seriously at Daybreak Games. In the spirit of making their games fun and fair for all, they have policies and guidelines for all to follow. Violations of these policies may result in disciplinary action against your account. This can include, but is not limited to; warnings, account suspensions, and up to banned accounts. The type and duration of disciplinary action may vary from case to case:
A warning is a notification that you've violated one of their policies, but it's usually minor. As the message states; this is just a stop-action warning to avoid further action on your account.
Suspended means that an order has been issued to temporarily suspend or block access to an account. This is the result of a direct violation of one of their policies, either repeatedly (with advance warning) or in a more serious way than warranting a warning. The length of the suspension depends on the severity of the policy violation.
Ban is an extended or indefinite suspension of your account. This is the result of a severe or severe violation of at least one of their policies, or multiple violations.
