How do I make a claim with Devitt?

• If someone else has stolen or injured something, you must first contact the police to get a reference number.

• Make sure you are covered. Make sure your insurance covers you for the event.

• Collect insurance documents to ease the process.

• Write down all the facts - date and time, third party details, what happened, and details of what you're claiming.

How soon should I report the application?

• In accordance with legal procedures, if an accident occurs, it must be reported immediately. Claims, especially those relating to bodily injury, have strict deadlines.

• If the court is not respected, the court may impose heavy fines. This can affect the ability of the insurer to arrange the best defense on your behalf.

• Delays can be costly for the insurance company and may be contrary to the driving license. If the delay is extreme, they may refuse to cover you.

How do I change my payment method?

• Internet payments are not processed on weekends and public holidays. Therefore, if this affects your renewal and you wish to renew your insurance before the renewal date, you must call them on 0345 872 3607 before the expiry date. Once you have renewed, they will send you all your documents by email. NB. If you are currently paying by direct debit, you will receive your renewal documents in the mail, which will give you the option to renew automatically.

• If you wish to change your payment method or make changes to your policy, you will not be able to renew it online and you will need to contact them on 0345 872 3607.

• Telephone lines are open from 20:30 to 19:00 from Monday to Friday, from 09:00 to 17:00 on Saturdays and from 10:00 to 16:00 on Sundays. Calls can be recorded.

What is retrieving a quote?

• If you have already received a quote from them and would like to log in with your web reference number, simply click on the link above to enter thier citation engine and recall your previously entered citation.

• All you need to do to log in and recall your quote is to enter your zip code, date of birth, and web reference number you received once you filled out your quote – we'll also have sent you a follow-up email with your web reference included.

• By logging into thier quote engine, you will be able to purchase your quote based on your already saved information, which will remain online for 30 days.
