How can I tell if my beef jerky has gone bad?
Please check usage by date. If this date is exceeded, they recommend that you dispose of the jerky. Another way to tell if beef jerky has gone bad is if mold is starting to form on the food due to oxygen and/or perforated packaging. The small white pack with DO NOT EAT printed on it is an oxygen absorber that helps extend shelf life.
