What happens after I make my purchase?

Once you complete your purchase, you will be sent an email confirmation with the details of the gift you purchased and the message. If you selected ‘Email’ or ‘Text’ as the delivery method, the gift redemption code will be sent directly to the recipient. If you selected ‘Print’ as the delivery method, you’ll need to print the page with the Redemption Code and give it to the recipient.

Do Greenlight Gift codes expire?

If a Greenlight Gift code is not redeemed within 60 days after the time of purchase, the gift amount will be automatically refunded back to the sender. All purchases made through PayPal will be refunded directly back to your PayPal account. Purchases made via credit card or debit card will be refunded back to the original card. If the card you used to purchase a Greenlight Gift has been closed please contact your card issuer to retrieve your funds.

What is an EMV chip card, and how does it work?

All Greenlight Cards are fully-equipped EMV chip cards. EMV cards are smart cards that store data on integrated circuits in addition to the magnetic stripe on the back of the card, which adds an extra layer of security to your card and account. When making a purchase at a store that has a chip-enabled card reader, simply insert your card into the reader, enter your unique PIN, and complete their purchase. Each PIN is unique to your card, and be set and reset from the Greenlight app settings.

How can I void a transaction?

If you need to void a same-day transfer, please call their support line at your earliest convenience at 888-483-2645 (this number is located on the back of your Greenlight card). If you’ve made a transfer and need it to be voided after the day of transfer, it must first post to your Parent's Wallet. Then, give them a call at 888-483-2645 or send them a message at [email protected] and their team can assist in refunding the transfer.
