Why am I being charged sales tax?
As of April 1, 2021, they have started collecting taxes for more states than just California. This is due to changes in state sales tax laws that now require them to do so. Taxes are based on the destination state to which your card is shipped. Taxes will be estimated on the cart page and adjusted accordingly at checkout (confirmation page).
What is their return policy?
Greeting Card Universe offers a 30-day satisfaction guarantee on all orders. If you receive a damaged, defective or misprinted item (excluding customer additions), they will be happy to provide a free replacement or a full refund. Please notify them via their Contact Them page within 30 days of purchase. Please include the order number, date of purchase, description, and a photo showing the problem (required before making a replacement). Due to the personalized nature of their cards, Greeting Card Universe is not responsible for the quality of content added by customers, including misspelled words, grammatical errors, formatting changes or uploaded photos. For these reasons, they do not offer refunds or accept returns.
What is the handling fee?
Handling fees are per order, not per card. It provides them with additional TLC to process your order to ensure your card arrives in original condition - true "white glove" service. It includes careful packaging of your cards (boxes, labels, tape, bubble wrap, etc.) and, for cards sent directly to your recipients, gentle envelopes and hand-applied genuine stamps with great attention to detail.
Can I place an order over the phone?
Unfortunately, they do not accept any phone orders. All orders are placed online. The online process is simple and painless, and non-technical users order thousands of cards per day. Feel free to call, chat online or email them if you have any questions. Target and Bartell in-store pickup options are no longer available.
Do they ship outside the US?
Yes, they have. All UK and most European country orders are printed and mailed from their UK factory. Other international orders are shipped from their Northern California printing facility. UK delivery takes 1-3 days, Europe 3-5 days, all other countries 7-20 days.
