What is the refund policy?

No refund for unused days within the invoice validity period, no refund for unused days, no refund for unused searches during the uninvoiced period. All PublicData accounts are considered periodically invoiced, billed, and charged until the customer requests PublicData to stop through the cancellation process. Cancellation of recurring invoicing, billing and charging processes must be requested directly by the customer to PublicData and cannot be implied by non-use, refusal to pay, contact with your credit card issuer, or any such indirect method. Please note that cancelling your PublicData.com account will cause any accrued "bonus lookups" to be lost.

What billing options are available to me?

• Credit card account, which is PublicData.com's most convenient option. This is the only option available for their non-corporate account, and by far the most popular option for their corporate account. Simply select this option and PublicData will automatically charge your card when your account is renewed. With this option, customers can create printable bills at any time using the Create Printable Bill link at the bottom of the Account History page.

• Paperless billing, this option only applies to their corporate accounts (accounts with status ID CORP). Customers who choose this option will need to pay by cheque. After renewing your account, PublicData.com will create the bill, attach it to your account, and then send you an E-mail containing a link to the statement. You will be able to access your statement through this email for 30 days, or log into your account at any time and click the account History link. Paperless billing is a convenient option that allows you to print your own statement, share electronic billing with the accounting department, receive your statement up to two weeks in advance, and use fewer resources than paper billing. In short, paperless billing saves resources, money, and time.

How do I get a $100 reward?

A few years ago someone pointed out that PublicData.com displays Social Security numbers (SSNS). The truth is, they didn't know the state used SSNS as driver's license numbers. PublicData.com's policy is not to display SSNS, with the exception of SSNS in the Social Security death master file. Since they are committed to not displaying SSNS and realize that sometimes they cannot identify numbers as SSNS, PublicData.com will pay 100.00 USD to any customer who points to displaying SSNS from one of their databases. The Social Security Death Master File is the only exception to this benefit.
