Does REI return the rewards?

• After the cooperative member rewards and REI cooperative MasterCard rewards (collectively referred to as total REI rewards) are applied to the purchase, these rewards will not be credited back to your member account. On the contrary, when you return items, they will refund the total amount of Rei rewards in the following way.

• For in store returns, the part of the total reward for purchasing REI will be refunded in cash. Items purchased with cash and total REI awards of $500 or more will be refunded.

• For mail returns, the purchase portion of the REI total reward will be refunded by check. They'll email you as soon as they write a check. From the date they receive your tax return, it will take up to 3 weeks to refund by check.

How long can I get my refunds at REI?

• Refunds vary depending on the method of payment and the place of purchase. Please note that your bank or payment company may need an additional 5 days to process the refund back to your card or account.

• Online and telephone orders: except for the total REI award, all online and telephone orders will be returned to the original payment type. The reward will be refunded in the form of a check, which will take up to 3 weeks from the date they receive your tax return.

• Shop purchase: store purchases returned to the store will be returned to the original payment type. Goods returned by mail will be refunded by check. We'll email you as soon as they write a check. From the date they receive your tax return, it will take up to 3 weeks to refund by check.

How to return articles containing dangerous goods?

• If you need to return items containing dangerous goods, you can return them to one of their retail outlets free of charge. You can also work directly with the carrier to meet any shipping conditions required for mail returns.

• Transportation can only be arranged by transportation professionals, and the items to be returned shall be fully disclosed to ensure proper handling or labeling. Items classified as dangerous goods may require special labeling and handling requirements during transportation.

What's the free shipping exclusions?

• Returns, special orders, previous purchases, REI gift cards, membership, store services, and rent are invalid. Limited to inventory and deferred order items, non transferable, non redeemable cash. Only standard shipping to U.S. addresses.
