Sakara Frequently Asked Questions
Can I have caffeine while on the Level II: Detox?
They advise refraining from consuming caffeine (such as coffee, matcha, and green tea) during your Level II: Detox. This allows your hormones to reset since caffeine can be inflammatory and stress the adrenals. The program has been carefully crafted by their medical board to allow your body to fully detox with a unique and specific combination of foods, herbs, and medical-grade supplements and opting to add in caffeine may impact your results.
Why are Sakara meals healthy?
Each Sakara meal is created around their pillars of nutrition, which are based on the science behind a whole-food, plant-based diet. Their meals are optimized with the perfect balance of plant-based protein, hydrating fresh produce and nutrient-dense superfood ingredients. And they’re always 100% organic and free of common allergens like gluten and dairy. Every bite is packed with body-loving vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and fiber to keep you glowing from the inside out! The result is brighter skin, better moods, more energy and a body you love living in.
Will The Foundation: Prenatal make me nauseous?
Because every single body is different, some may be more susceptible to nausea from supplements in general than others. To alleviate any potential discomfort and nausea, take your prenatal pack with food and water. In the event that you do experience any adverse reactions while taking these, discontinue immediately and consult your primary care physician.
Can I still enjoy coffee while on a Signature (Level 1) meal program?
If you are just starting Sakara, they recommend abstaining from caffeinated drinks, such as coffee and tea, to allow the body to reset itself. Instead, they recommend substituting with their Detox tea, another herbal tea, or warm water with lemon. If you find that it is just too hard to give up caffeine, it's OK! You won't reverse the effects of your program or prevent yourself from getting results. Try having just 1 cup a day with a dollop of coconut oil stirred in (instead of milk and sugar) for a delicious and metabolism-boosting treat.
Why organic?
Many of the toxins they absorb come from the produce that they eat. Non-organic fruits and veggies are treated with pesticides and contain GMOs (genetically modified organisms). These toxic chemicals enter their system, accumulate over time and wreak all kinds of havoc on their bodies. Organic produce, on the other hand, is not only free of these chemicals, but is also more nutritious and more flavorful as a result. It's cleaner, fresher, healthier and a whole lot tastier!
