What should I wear?

In summer; shorts or swimsuit and t-shirt are recommended, foot shoes are required. For spring and fall, they recommend layering with synthetic fibers such as synthetic wool or polypropylene. On the Chatuga River, wetsuits are provided free of charge in March, April, October and November. Nantahala & Ocoee Rivers rents wetsuits for $10. Wetsuit booties rental is $5.

What meals are served and what's for lunch?

Some tours include lunch: Nantahala Raft & Rail, Chattooga III & IV, and Ocoee Combo. Chattooga lunch includes a buffet of homemade sandwiches, pickles, chips and salsa, fruit, vegetables, assorted dried fruit, cookies and beverages. Vegetarian options are usually available; let them know if you have special needs or large groups with specific concerns. (Exact menus vary by itinerary). Chattooga Overnighter includes lunch for two, a campfire steak dinner and a full hot breakfast. If you want to drink alcoholic beverages with or after dinner, please bring your own (in moderation) and they will bring them to camp.

What is the cancellation guarantee?

Wildwater has the best, flexible cancellation policy in the adventure industry! Their exclusive Cancellation Guarantee service gives you complete freedom to change your mind, so don't worry if you have to cancel or reschedule any Wildwater expedition or accommodation!

• A full refund, excluding the cancellation guarantee fee, will be issued for any bookings cancelled before 1pm the day before the event or stay.

• Any activity or stay cancelled on the same day as booked will be fully deducted in the form of vouchers or Wildwater Adventure dollars. Cancellations must be made before the event start time.

• A 7.5% fee will be charged upon booking. This is non-refundable.

• The freedom to reschedule is unlimited as long as it is done before the event start time, for any reason including weather.

• Anyone wishing to request special treatment or change any policy can fill out an "exception form" and submit it to the CEO for a decision. There must be extenuating circumstances; car accident, family death, illness records, etc. Wildwater must be notified shortly after the accident, not at check-in. Supporting documentation is required.
