What should I pay attention to when booking tickets?

• You must always be able to present a valid ticket for your journey, physical or digital.

• Paper confirmations, order numbers, receipts etc. are not valid tickets.

• Tickets must be purchased before you board the train.

• Travel Passes are valid for 24 months from the date of purchase.
  

• Group tickets apply only for passengers travelling together. You must travel together, on the same train.

• If you travel with a youth or pensioner ticket, you must be able to verify eligibility with an ID onboard the train.

• You will get a receipt by e-mail when your purchase is completed.

• Arlanda express has the right to refuse to carry any person who appears to be under the influence of alcohol, disturbs the peace, or through their actions puts the safety of railway operations at risk. 

For how long is an Arlanda express ticket valid?

Tickets are valid for 90 days from the date of purchase. Travel Passes are valid for 24 months from the date of purchase.

Can I travel with my pets at Arlanda Express?

You are welcome to bring your dogs and other small pets. Your pets must be on a leash or in a cage, and may not sit on the chairs. Please use the middle carriages with animals allowed-stickers. Guide-dogs for the visually impaired are welcome in all carriages.

What payment method does Arlanda Express accept?

You may pay with either credit-/debit card or Swish. Adyen banking services manages all of their banking transactions. A-Train AB does not store any credit card numbers.

What are the conditions for children to travel at Arlanda Express?

• Children 0-7 years always travel for free. They must be accompanied by someone who is at least 18 years, or by someone who is 8-17 years if their legal guardian approves.

• Children 8-17 years travel for free when accompanied by someone who is at least 26 years.

• Children 8-17 years with no accompanying adult travel on a youth ticket.

• It's up to the legal guardians to assess if their child of 8-17 can travel on their own. The legal guardians can also assess that a child under 8 years may travel accompanied by a child of 8-17 years.

• Children with no accompanying adult must be able to take care of themselves during the journey, even in the case of an evacuation or traffic disruption.

How much compensation can I get?

• If your train risks being more than 20 minutes late you are entitled to compensation for other reasonable transport (such as taxi). If you haven't bought a ticket, the current fare for a single ticket will be deducted from your compensation.
• Delays during ongoing journeys
• If your train is at least 5 minutes late, you are entitled to the following compensation:
• In case of a 5 minute delay you get a new ticket.
• In case of a 20 minute delay they reimburse 50 percent of the ticket price.
• In case of a 40 minute delay they reimburse 75 percent of the ticket price.
• In case of a 60 minute delay they reimburse 100 percent of the ticket price.
