Can I smoke?
To support the health and well-being of their customers and employees, all BC Ferries ships and terminals are smoke-free. A smoke-free environment applies to all BC Ferries customers and employees. The policy applies to smoking tobacco, vaping products, e-cigarettes, and medical and non-medical marijuana. Smoking is prohibited on all ferries and all terminals.
How do I cancel a sailing?
Customers who book the next scheduled departure time will be loaded before customers who cancel their sailing. If they are unable to load you on the next available sailing, you will load in the order you arrive at the dock.
If you choose not to travel, please return to the ticket booth to check out. Your fare and any booking fees will be automatically refunded to your original payment method. Any changes you make to your booking at the terminal will also be automatically refunded, except for cash or cash equivalent transactions, which need to be processed by the terminal's ticketing agent.
How to cancel a reservation?
Customers who arrive in time for an earlier sailing on their booked travel date may board the earlier sailing terminus upon payment of any difference between the booking price and the At fare, based on the order in which they arrive at the terminal. The customer must cancel the reservation and rebook the correct vehicle type. Special fares are not available for bus/commercial vehicle types. Cancellation rules and fees are as follows:
Cancellation 4 days or more prior to departure: $5 cancellation fee.
Cancellation 3 days or less before 11:59pm the day before travel: $20 cancellation fee.
Cancellation on or after departure: Non-refundable reservations from Horseshoe Bay to Langdale. $20 cancellation fee for bookings from Langdale to Horseshoe Bay.
