Why can't DraftKings detect my location?

DraftKings is required by law to determine your physical location while using thier services. This is verified by GPS/Bluetooth/Wi-Fi location services. Generally, if you're having trouble with location detection, it's because location services or Wi-Fi aren't enabled on your device. 

What is my Obligations?

• You may establish only one (1) account per person to participate in the Services offered on the Website. In the event DK discovers that you have opened more than one (1) account per person, in addition to any other rights that DK may have, DK reserves the right to suspend or terminate any or all of your accounts and terminate, withhold or revoke the awarding of any prizes.You must be at least 18 years of age to open an account, participate in contests, or win prizes offered by the Website. 

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login names and passwords and you accept responsibility for all activities, charges, and damages that occur under your account. It shall be a violation of these Terms of Use to allow any other person to use your account to participate in any contest. If you have reason to believe that someone is using your account without your permission, you should contact us immediately. They will not be responsible for any loss or damage resulting from your failure to notify us of unauthorized use.

• If we request registration information from you, you must provide us with accurate and complete information and must update the information when it changes.

• You may only participate in the Contests on your own behalf and not on behalf of any other person or company. You will not transfer funds from your account to other players or to receive money from other players into your account. You may only participate in any game if you have enough funds on your account for such participation. 

Why am I being asked to verify my identity?

• To comply with state and federal online gaming regulations, DraftKings is required to verify the identity and age of thier customers to ensure they're of legal age to participate. 

• During registration, customers are required to provide the following information before they're allowed to deposit or participate in real money games: Full name; Physical mailing address (PO boxes and commercial addresses aren't accepted); Date of birth; Social Security number.

• Not all DraftKings products require SSN verification.

• Important: For accurate verification, customers should ensure that their registration information is entered exactly as it appears on their state issued driver's license, passport, or other federally accepted identification document. 

How Long Does Account Verification Take? 

• Standard verification (most common): This happens during registration or follow up-verification and takes seconds.

• Document upload verification: This happens when a customer is asked to provide a copy of their driver's license, and takes minutes.

• Customer Support verification: This happens in the unlikely event they are unable to automatically verify a customer's identity using the aforementioned methods, and usually takes between 24 and 48 hours.
