How do they monitor safety on your trips?

They constantly monitor global issues, ensuring they have an in-depth understanding of the areas we visit. With multiple operational offices around the world in a variety of destinations, Intrepid has access to real-time safety updates and information within the countries they travel to. These staff are available to provide support to travellers on the ground if required. 

Which style of trip is right for me?

I have a disability – can I join an Intrepid trip?

Intrepid is committed to making travel widely accessible, regardless of ability or disability. They ask that you carefully consider whether you are physically and mentally able to complete the itinerary you have chosen, recognising that on many trips you will be required to carry your own bags and use public transport.

Can they book a triple room or a single room?

Depending on the trip style you choose, their trips are organised on a twin, triple or multishare basis. As their bookings are made well in advance, individual room requests can’t be guaranteed. If you want to book a single room, you can book pre and post accommodation on a single basis; however, throughout your Intrepid trip, rooming is organised on a twin-share basis. 

What will the food be like on my trip?

Food is one of the most exciting parts of travel. There may be some familiar fare but often you’ll be confronted with the new, interesting and downright weird of the culinary world but they like to think of it as an adventure for all the senses. In addition to this, their flexible itineraries often allow you to eat with the group or branch out on your own - this means you can eat to suit any budget or desire.

Do they offer travel insurance?

Travel insurance is compulsory on all our trips for those travelling internationally. We require that at a minimum you are covered for medical expenses including emergency repatriation. If you are travelling within your home country or region please confirm before travel that you are entitled to access the public medical system easily should an accident occur. 

Do I get any free time?

The beauty of travelling with Intrepid is that they encourage travellers to explore at their own pace. When you get to a destination, your leader will offer options on what you can do.
