What do they mean their soap is “natural”?

• All of their ingredients are naturally derived. This means they come from nature, not a lab! They use things like organic fair trade shea butter, coconut and olive oil. 

• They also only ever use phthalate-free fragrances to make sure that your skin is taken care of just like your purchases take care of other people in the world!

Are their soaps free of parabens?

They refuse to add parabens, or a class of chemicals widely used as preservatives in the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries, in all of their soaps.

Do their soaps contain lye?

• All soap, including SoapBox’s products, are made using lye. In a properly produced soap, lye is a raw ingredient used to make the soap, but the lye doesn't exist in the final product. 

• Think of lye like the ingredients that go into a cake. The sugar and eggs that you don't want to eat are a part of creating a delicious treat. The same happens with lye through the saponification process.

Does their soap contain glycerin?

• Glycerin is a natural part of the vegetable oils we use to make their herbal soap, so it is a natural part of all SoapBox Soaps. 

• Glycerin soap is gentler on skin than most soaps, making it a good choice for people who have particularly dry or sensitive skin.

Is their packaging recyclable?

All of the packaging of our bottled products, including shampoo, conditioner, hand soap and body wash, is 100% recyclable and we work with How2Recycle to put instructions for recycling on all of their bottles.

Where are their soaps made?

Their SoapBox line of shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, bar soap and body wash is made in the USA in Indiana!

Because of these ethical concerns, SoapBox Soaps has decided to only use sustainably sourced palm oil.

Are your products tested on animals?

• SoapBox Soaps has been certified by PETA as cruelty free and vegan friendly. They love their furry friends! The only testing they do is on themselves, and never by any animals. 

• So you can rest assured that all SoapBox Soaps are safe for human use, because the product is solely tested by your fellow man.

Why have I seen products with your logo that look different than those on the website?

• They went through a few rebrands while trying to figure out how to make our products as pretty as possible! Some of these old or discontinued products are still being sold through at the stores that used to carry them. 

• If you liked these products you may be able to find some remnants at discount/closeout stores.
