What is the Supermicro Limited Warranty?
Subject to proper use and installation, Supermicro Computer Corporation warrants its products to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of time from the date of Supermicro's invoice. A 90-day warranty grace period will continue to be provided after the labor and parts warranty period specified herein has expired. This limited warranty applies only to being a Supermicro distributor or customer. After the 1-year parts warranty expires, the remaining 2-year labor warranty applies to general technical support, including but not limited to general RMA requests, telephone support, one-way shipments, but does not include labor related to repair or replacement of expired parts , such services will be charged separately.
What are the expiry conditions of the warranty?
This limited warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, accident, unusually heavy loads, improper packaging or handling, neglect, abuse, alteration, improper installation, unauthorized repair or modification, improper testing, or causes external to the product (including but not limited to overheating, excessive humidity, etc. , power outages, power surges or acts of God). This limited warranty is void if customer added screw holes, burnt chips, more than 4 broken wires, repairs or damages not performed by Supermicro are found.
How do I return a Supermicro product?
If a product needs to be returned to Supermicro under warranty service, the customer must first request an RMA number from Supermicro. The RMA number must be clearly marked on the outside of the returned product's box. Supermicro will not accept any shipment without an RMA number. After processing the RMA request, if Supermicro thereafter determines that the damage originated from the customer's actions, Supermicro reserves the right to demand payment for all costs of the replacement product or the actual product itself.
