How do you calculate artist payments?
Artists earn 55% of the profit. Profit is revenue minus costs of sale. The average costs per sale is calculated at a blended rate of 35%. This rate includes printing, scanning, storing and insuring artwork. For example, if an artwork sells for $1000, the costs are $350 and the artist earns $357.50 (55% of $650).
How do you choose your pricing?
They built our model to ensure that they can scale our impact and serve our artists and customers. When deciding pricing, they thought about it from our two stakeholders’ perspectives: Customers - competitive pricing for high quality productsArtists - maximize their earnings while ensuring the model is financially sustainable. They are proud to be building a scalable and impactful business.
How do I become an artist?
If you are interested in becoming an artist with ArtLifting, you can apply here. Once you've submitted an application, they can determine if you are a good fit for ArtLifting. Please be patient in this process, as they are frequently backlogged with requests to add new artists.
What is the return policy?
Due to our mission and associated business model, they only offer returns if you receive the incorrect order or if your order arrives damaged.
You have 30 days from the day you receive your order to notify them. When you make a purchase from ArtLifting, their artists get paid following that purchase, therefore, they appreciate your understanding of their return policy.
If you never received your products, you have 30 days from the day you placed your order to notify them. All packages are sent with a tracking number. Tracking information is sent to the email account that you provided to us upon checkout.
If your tracking information indicates that your package was delivered but you never received it, please contact your local postal carrier or customs office (for international packages). We are not responsible for providing refunds if your tracking information indicates that your package was delivered.
Can I knoe more about the address changes?
If you provided them with an incorrect or incomplete address upon checkout, please notify them as soon as possible at [email protected]. This includes out-of-date addresses on PayPal accounts. If you fail to notify them of an address change prior to the shipment of your order, you will be responsible for any additional shipping costs. Once the original package is returned to them and the additional shipping costs have been received, we will reship your order.
How do you find your artists?
ArtLifting works with individuals who participate in shelter or disability center art programs across the U.S. There are thousands of existing art groups in shelters and disability centers. Their first point of contact is most often the art director who oversees the artists in these programs. This helps us ensure that they are helping individuals who are committed to improving their situations and finding stable employment and housing.
