It says my SKYPASS account is inactive. What is an inactive account?

• SKYPASS accounts with no record of mileage accrual or redemption within the last five years will become inactive and be handled differently as such. Inactive accounts are not eligible to use mileage for award tickets, Cash and Miles, etc.

• Except for mileage use, there are no restrictions on the use of other Korean Air services such as flight search, reservation, purchase, and boarding. Mileage can still accrue in inactive accounts, which automatically reactivate upon accruing mileage from flights or partners.
• To use your mileage, please log in to the Korean Air website and reactivate your account at [ My > Mileage > Mileage Overview ] then select [Reactivate] before proceeding with verification. You can also reactivate your account by completing the verification procedure at a Korean Air branch office or SKYPASS counter at the airport.

A family member is registered in my family plan but I never applied for that person. What happened?

• The family member applied and was registered, and both parties are now mutually registered in the family plan. 

• You can delete the family member to cancel family registration. When registering a family member, a notification is sent to the applicant and family members. 
• If you have not received the notification, please check your contact information again.

What is the international return policy?

• Application for refund should be made during the period of validity of the ticket or EMD, and KAL will refuse refund when application therefor is made more than 30 days after expiration date of the ticket or EMD.

• Person requesting refund must surrender to KAL all unused flight coupon(s) of the ticket excluding Electronic Ticket.
• Except as provided below, refund will be made to the person named as the passenger on the ticket or EMD.

• under the Universal Air Travel Plan will be made to the account of subscriber against whose Air Travel Card they were issued.

• against a Government Transportation Request will be made to the government agency which issued the Government Transportation Request.

•  against a credit card will be made only to the credit card account of the person to whom such credit card has been issued.

• Refund made in accordance with this rule to a person representing himself or herself as the person, company or travel agent named or designated in the document presented for refund will be a valid refund and KAL will not be liable to the true person for another refund.

• KAL may refuse refund on a ticket which has been presented to government officials of a country or to KAL as evidence of intention to depart therefrom unless the passenger establishes to KAL’s satisfaction that he has permission to remain in the country or that he will depart therefrom by another carrier or conveyance.
